Graduate students enrolled for fewer than 9 credits are considered a part-time student and are billed by the credit hour for the number of credits they are enrolled in as of the last day of the add/drop period (first 10 days of class).

Cost of Attendance (COA) is an estimate of the cost of attending UMass Lowell. It is based on residency status, career level, and whether the student will be living on-campus, off-campus or commuting. The cost of attendance includes both direct and indirect costs.
Additional fees, which may include a charge for Health Insurance, International Student Fee and others, may be applied to the tuition and fees bill, based on your status and enrollment. Fee descriptions provide more information on each fee that may be charged.
