Waive or Enroll in Health Insurance

Massachusetts state law requires that all students be enrolled in a student health insurance program that meets the comparable benefits established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Students may waive the Student Health Insurance Plan if they have coverage under a comparable benefit plan. Eligibility

Students must meet the minimum credit requirements listed below during the add/drop perod (the first 10 instructional days of the academic semester), to be eligible for the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP).

• Matriculating undergraduate and Continuing Education (CE) students: 9 or more credits
• Matriculating graduate students: 6.75 or more credits
• Matriculating international students: 1 or more credit

Waive or Enroll in Health Insurance

Students complete the enrollment or waiver process by logging into their SiS account.  Select Finance Center from the left-hand column of the Student Center. Under the Health Insurance heading, select Waive/Enroll in Health Insurance. Students are required to complete the health insurance waiver or enrollment form each academic year.
