An intentional living and learning environment, the STEM House provides intentional programming, career exploration, networking opportunities and dedicated faculty and staff to support and guide students as they navigate college and prepare for their career.
The Aspiring Medical Professionals LLC is designed for students who are preparing for a career in a health profession. With strongly competitive admission standards at postgraduate health professional schools, this LLC will help to prepare students and strengthen their chances of acceptance. With a focus on helping students with career preparation, satisfying admissions requirements, choosing the right major and finding clinical experience opportunities, this LLC empowers students to explore various career paths while connecting them with practitioners, alumni, faculty and staff to assist in career choices. A passionate faculty advisor provides support and academic guidance to students as they navigate and prepare for a career within the health and/or medical sciences. Students in this LLC will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive spring semester one-credit seminar focusing on diversity in the health care industry.

The W.I.S.E. LLC is engineered to provide women with a hands-on, real-world educational living and learning experience that focuses on taking an inside look into navigating a career within a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) field. Through participation in the LLC, students are exposed to challenges that women may face as they embark upon their career pathways. LLC students will benefit from the unique living experience of being part of a community of like-minded peers with similar goals and career aspirations. Free tutoring is offered to all first-year W.I.S.E. students within the subjects of physics, chemistry, calculus and economics. With dedicated faculty advisors who empower the women within this community, this LLC is open to all first-year students who identify as women and are majoring in either engineering or one of the sciences.

The D.L.E. LLC is engineered to provide students with a hands-on, real-world educational living and learning experience that focuses on taking an inside look into exploring the career paths of aspiring engineers. Through participation in the LLC, students are afforded access to UMass Lowell alumni and local businesses, as well as on campus resources, to help identify potential career pathways. LLC students will benefit from the unique living experience of being part of a community of like-minded peers with similar goals and career aspirations. Free tutoring is offered to all first-year DLE students within the subjects of physics, chemistry, calculus and economics. The LLC has two dedicated faculty and staff advisors who empower and support the community.
