The Office of Equal Opportunity and Outreach (EOO) maintains records in accordance with applicable records retention policies of the UMass System, UMass Lowell, Massachusetts Secretary of State, and/or prevailing federal and/or state laws.
Records are maintained in an electronic system, Maxient, which is audited regularly, not less than an annual basis, and access is both monitored and restricted.
Records maintained by the Office of Equal Opportunity and Outreach are generally not considered public records, and are subject to applicable privacy regulations, including but not limited to Personnel Records Laws, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, and other applicable privacy protections under Title IX, and other federal and/or state laws or regulations.
