The Engineers of the Future House is committed to bridging the co-curricular experience for UMass Lowell students who are pursuing careers within Engineering, Science, Technology, or Mathematics related field.

An intentional living and learning environment, the Engineers of the Future House provides intentional programming, career exploration, networking opportunities and dedicated faculty and staff to support and guide students as they navigate college and prepare for their career.

Women in Science & Engineering (W.I.S.E.)

First-Year Upperclass

The Women in Science & Engineering (W.I.S.E.) Living-Learning Community is engineered to provide women with a hands-on, real-world educational living and learning experience that focuses on taking an inside look into navigating a career within a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (S.T.E.M.) field. 

Through participation in the LLC, students are exposed to challenges women may face as they embark upon their career path with a S.T.E.M. Field.

How To Sign Up

Applying to a Living-Learning Community is free and easy:

  1. Visit the Online Housing Portal and click on the housing application form.
  2. Select the Living-Learning Community you wish to apply for and answer a few short answer questions on the "Living-Learning Community Selection" page of the housing application.
  3. Invitations to participate in the LLC will be extended via email to applicants based on application answers and availability.
  4. Select your room in the Living-Learning Community on LLC Room Selection Day.
