As always, UMass Lowell is committed to the safety and success of our students. During the pandemic, our % of on campus positive COVID cases has remained low. This is due, in part, because of the shared commitment of our entire campus community to follow the safety guidelines that have been put in place.
As we look ahead to Fall 2021, we want to let you know that we do plan to have housing options available for students. Exactly what the options will look like however, is still being determined. For example, for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021, students were able to live on East campus in single occupancy units or single bedrooms within a shared suite or apartment. That same plan may remain in place for Fall 2021 – or we may move to permit students to live together in shared units in some or all of our halls. As we work with the public health department and other medical experts, we will share our final housing plans as soon as possible.
We hope to share a detailed plan with you in March. We will prioritize students who submit their housing agreement by May 5. If you would like to live on campus this fall, we strongly encourage you to submit your housing agreement prior to May 5. If you have questions in the meantime, do not hesitate to be in touch – and we thank you for your patience. We’re thrilled that we have been able to house students safely on campus for the past year – we want to keep that going!
We look forward to having you stay on campus with us. Within the housing application, you'll be able to complete your basic information, room and living-learning community preferences, select a meal plan, and review/sign your housing contract.
Housing Applications can be accessed through the Online Housing Portal once available. You will need your UML credentials prior to signing in to complete your application. If you have recently been admitted, these should be generated within 48 hours.
Find forms for current residents, including Room Change and Cancellation Request on the Online Housing Portal.
