Break Housing

We offer housing on campus during the summer and winter breaks. Below is information on break housing options and costs.

Summer Intersession

If you wish to remain on campus over the summer you must review the terms and complete the summer housing contract on the Online Housing Portal under Housing Applications.

If your organization is hosting interns over the summer and looking for housing in the Lowell Area please contact Hospitality & Event Services to inquire about availability and rates.

Summer 2019 Housing Information

Summer housing will be located in University Suites for summer 2019. Summer housing applications are available on the Online Housing Portal.

SUMMER BREAK HOUSING RATES

University Suites
Session 1: $1,500 (May 20 - July 1) 
Session 2: $1,500 (July 6 - August 16)
Entire Summer Break: $3,000 (May 20 - August 16)
River Hawk Village Townhouses (only for current residents living in the same unit Fall 19)
Session 1: $1,900 (May 20 - July 1)
Session 2: $1,900 (July 6 - August 16)
Entire Summer Break: $3,800 (May 20 - August 16)

MEAL PLAN OPTIONS

Mandatory 10 Meal Plan
Session 1: $665 (meal plan ends July 3) 
Session 2: $720 (meal plan ends August 31)
Entire Summer Break: $1,385 (meal plan ends August 31)
Optional 19 Meal Plan
Session 1: $1,115 (meal plan ends July 3)
Session 2: $1,115 (meal plan ends August 31)
Entire Summer Break: $2,230 (meal plan ends August 31)

Winter 2020 Housing Information

If you wish to remain on campus over the winter you must complete the Winter 2020 Housing Application (available starting November 1, 2019) on the Online Housing Portal under Housing Applications. Winter break housing is only available to residents with a current room assignment.

All residence halls are open for winter break with limited services. Students must register to remain on campus for winter break to ensure proper ID card access. Please note that students living on South Campus or the ICC will need to manage their own transportation to East Campus to access the dining hall. Housing and Dining rates for winter break are below.

Meal Plan Options

Students may utilize their current fall meal plan if they still have meals and points remaining.

  • Points can be used from December 21 to January 1 at Crossroads.
  • Remaining meals from the fall semester can be used at University Dining Commons beginning on January 2-18.
  • If you have the Platinum or Gold Meal plans for the fall, your meals will be unlimited for winter break. If you were on the Silver Meal Plan and are out of meals or are not currently on a meal plan but wish to have one for winter break, please contact the Office of Residence Life to obtain one of the following options for the January 2 to January 18 timeframe:
    • 10 Meal Plan for $160
    • 19 Meal Plan for $265
