We offer housing on campus during the summer and winter breaks. Below is information on break housing options and costs.

Summer Intersession

If you wish to remain on campus over the summer you must review the terms and complete the summer housing contract on the Online Housing Portal under Housing Applications.

If your organization is hosting interns over the summer and looking for housing in the Lowell Area please contact Hospitality & Event Services to inquire about availability and rates.


Summer 2018 Housing Information

Summer housing will be located in University Suites for summer 2018. Summer housing applications will be available on the Online Housing Portal in early April 2018.

Summer 2018 dates and rates:

  • Session 1: May 11 - July 3: $1,395
  • Session 2: July 6 - August 24: $1,395
  • Full Summer: May 11 - August 24: $2,790

10 meals per week Meal Plan (meal plan is mandatory for the summer)

  • Session 1: $665
  • Session 2: $720
  • Full Summer: $1,385

Optional upgrade to 19 meals per week:

  • Session 1: $1,115
  • Session 2: $1,115
  • Full Summer: 2,230

University Dining Commons at Fox Hall Summer Hours:

  • Weekday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Weekend and Holiday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Summer Break Meal Plan options will be available for use at University Dining Commons at Fox Hall.


Winter Break housing

If you wish to remain on campus over the winter you must complete the Winter 2018 Housing Application (available starting November 1) on the Online Housing Portal under Housing Applications. Winter break housing is only available to residents with a current room assignment.

All residence halls are open for winter break with limited services. Students must register to remain on campus for winter break to ensure proper ID card access. Please note that students living on South Campus or the ICC will need to manage their own transportation to East Campus to access the dining hall. Housing and Dining rates for winter break are below.


Meal Plan Options

Students may utilize their current fall meal plan if they still have meals and points remaining.

  • Points can be used from December 21 to January 1 at Crossroads.
  • Remaining meals from the fall semester can be used at University Dining Commons beginning on January 2.
  • If you have the Platinum or Gold Meal plans for the fall, your meals will be unlimited for winter break. If you were on the Silver Meal Plan and are out of meals or are not currently on a meal plan but wish to have one for winter break, please contact the Office of Residence Life to obtain one of the following options for the January 2 to January 21 time frame:
    • 10 Meal Plan
    • 19 Meal Plan
