A UMass Lowell campus parking ban will begin at noon on Sunday, January 19, 2025, due to inclement weather. Parking is only permitted in designated areas. The Fox Lot and Perkins Lot are available for parking if the East Garage and Hall Street Garage are full. Transportation services will be available on Sunday, January 19, and Monday, January 20, from noon to midnight. Essential personnel are to report as directed.

Severe Weather Policy

UMass Lowell (UML) is committed to the safety and well-being of its students, faculty, staff and visitors. When deciding whether to close the campus due to extreme weather conditions, university officials consider many factors, including the condition of roads and streets on campus and in the surrounding areas, power outages, weather forecasts and other safety factors. University officials also consult with local and state public safety and emergency management agencies to make the most informed decisions possible. We trust that all members of the university community will use their best judgment about travel during inclement weather and communicate with faculty or supervisors about their situations.
