Full kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms and laundry within each unit with quiet study areas at the end of each hall and full access to the on-site amenities, including a fitness center and game room on the first floor.

1 Merrimack Plaza is a great choice for upper-class students who have already made their nest at UMass Lowell! 1 Merrimack Plaza has convenient garage parking and a nearby shuttle stop to help students connect with South, North and East Campuses. 

What Are the Room Choices?

There are a variety of room options and configuration within 1 Merrimack Plaza. These 4 options include:

  • Four Bedroom/ Two Bath Singles- A four-bedroom apartment with one student assigned to each room and two bathrooms. These rooms have full-size beds.
  • Two Bedroom/ Two Bath Shared - A two-bedroom apartment with two students in each room and two bathrooms. These rooms have TwinXL beds.
  • Two Bedroom/ One Bath Singles- A two-bedroom apartment with one student assigned to each room and one bathroom. These rooms have full-size beds.
  • One Bedroom/ One Bath Singles- A private one-bedroom apartment including a bathroom. These rooms have full-size beds.

All apartments include:

  • A bed, dresser, desk, desk chair and closet per student
  • A living room sofa, table, chairs, barstools, end table, television and TV stand
  • Washer and dryer
  • High-speed Wi-Fi, no wired connectivity
  • An apartment food plan is mandatory and can be upgraded to the unlimited plan if desired
  • A full kitchen (stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator and sink)

Where Can I Eat?

Students in 1 Merrimack Plaza can eat right in their apartment, equipped with full kitchens. Your mandatory apartment food plan will also allow you to eat 7 meals a week at Fox Dining Commons, just a short walk to East Campus. Features include pasta and salad bars, a sauté station where you can customize your own meal. You can also stop by the P.O.D. Market for grab & go meals, snacks, and supplies or Rowdy's for a quick meal – both on the first floor of Fox in The Common, our late-night programming space. 

Getting Around and Parking

Parking is available in the adjacent Ayotte garage with the purchase of a UML parking decal. There is also a convenient orange line shuttle stop at the building to take you to East Campus and North Campus. Students at 1 Merrimack Plaza are also eligible to park in South Campus commuter parking locations with their UML parking decal.
