When to Arrive

We are so excited to welcome you to campus this Fall!

Below you will find Move-In Guides for each of our respective residential communities. Please review them thoroughly to find important information you will need in order to have a smooth and stress free Move-In!

The move-in guides are in pdf format and you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them. It can be download for free from the Adobe website.

Fall 2017 Move-In Dates

  • Friday, September 1, 2017: ALL Living Learning Communities (LLCs) (First-year, Transfer and Upper-class LLCs)
  • Saturday, September 2, 2017: First-Year and Transfer Students (not living in an LLC)
  • Sunday, September 3, 2017: Upper-Class Students (not living in an LLC)

All students will have an individual time for move in. This will be listed on the online housing portal by August 8th. Please note that these times will need to be confirmed prior to moving in.

Living-Learning Community move-in: Friday, September 1, 2017

This includes all students whom have been accepted to live in a Living-Learning Community!

All students are required to present their UMass Lowell Student ID to move-in. Students without a student ID will NOT be permitted to move into their hall.

First-Year and Transfer students will receive their IDs during orientation. Those who did not can pick them up at the UCaps office during move in hours. Returning students should bring their ID card. If lost, a new one may be purchased at the UCaps office during move in hours.

Upon check in all students will receive the key to their room, important documentation, instructions on how to fill out the online Room Condition Report (RCR). By signing into the hall, students are agreeing to the Statement of Agreement (pdf).

It is very important that you carefully review the condition of everything in your room and document everything on your RCR. You will be held financially responsible for any undocumented damage to the room upon your check-out.

You will be required to review your room and submit your Room Condition Report online within one week of your move-in.

New student move-in: Saturday, September 2, 2017

This includes all First-Year and Transfer students not living in a Living-Learning Community!

All students are required to present their UML Student ID to move-in. Students without a student ID will NOT be permitted to move into their hall.

Students new to UMass Lowell will receive their IDs during orientation. Those who did not can pick them up at the UCaps office during move in hours. Upon check in all students will receive the key to their room, important documentation, and instructions on how to fill out the online Room Condition Report (RCR).
