Gender Inclusive Housing

Students Sitting in Lounge

The Office of Residence Life strives to create an inclusive, supportive environment for all students. Our statement of inclusion reflects our commitment to personal development, community development, academic success and civic engagement.

As part of this commitment, we have developed a gender inclusive housing process. Students who opt-in to participate in gender inclusive housing through their housing application will have the ability to live in a gender inclusive room and select roommate(s) regardless of their gender through the roommate matching process. All students must mutually agree to participate in gender inclusive housing and confirm each other as a roommate grouping.

Please contact our housing team with any questions related to the gender inclusive housing process.

Residential Education Inclusion Committee

Overseen by the Associate Director of Residence Life for Inclusion and Residential Leadership, the Inclusion Committee is charged with the responsibility of continuing to grow the Office of Residence Life in all areas of inclusion. This includes, but is not limited to, providing opportunities for personal growth for Residence Life staff, reviewing all policies and procedures through an inclusive lens, and bettering the residential community in areas of inclusion. The committee is comprised of graduate students and professional staff within the office.
