The room and roommate selection process is scheduled to open on Friday, May 8, 2026. To participate in room selection, your full housing fee must be paid in full before you are able to select a room. If your full housing fee has not been paid, you may not have access to room selection and your room may be assigned at a later time once payment is completed.

Deadlines

The deadline for all current applicants to complete room and roommate selection is Sunday, May 17, 2026.

  • After this deadline, rooms may be automatically assigned by our staff based on availability, application status, and housing needs.
  • Applicants who apply or are accepted after this deadline must still meet all room selection requirements before they are eligible to select their room. This includes having an accepted application along with the deposit and remaining balance paid in full.

Requirements to be eligible

To be eligible to select your own room, you must meet all of the requirements below:

  • Your application has been accepted.
  • Your deposit has been paid.
  • Your full housing fee has been paid.
  • There is at least one week between your acceptance date and your move-in date.*
  • You are not part of a specialized conference group or event.**

If you do not meet these requirements, your room may be automatically assigned for you. Please note that a room is not provided or guaranteed until your full housing fee has been paid, as stated in the housing agreement and email confirmations.

*The one-week gap allows time for you to select your room and for our team to prepare the space. If you have not selected a room within three business days of your move-in date, a room may be automatically assigned for you.

**If you are part of a specialized group or event, your housing and roommates, if applicable, may be assigned by your event organizer or by our staff.

Select your room/roommate!

This section provides a simple overview of how to select your room through the Intern Housing Portal. During the room selection process, you will be able to view available eligible rooms, review potential suitemates, and complete your room selection through the portal.

Room Selection Steps

  1. Navigate to the Intern Housing Portal and log in.
  2. Open your current Intern Housing application.
  3. Once your application is open, you should see a next step prompting you to select your room.
  4. Continue to the room selection page.
  5. You will be prompted to make an optional suitemate group / select your roommate.
    • You can search by name, email, likeness and more
    • When you select your suitemate your suitemate will need to accept it.
    • You are only able to select of the same gender.
    • When viewing potential rooms before making your selection, you may also be able to see other suitemates who have already selected that suite. (Its recommend to choose a suite with no people if you have a group)
    • When viewing potential suitemates, you may be able to see their compatibility score and their answers to the same roommate questions you completed.
  6. On the room selection page, you will see a list of rooms you are eligible to select from.
    • If you do not see any available rooms, please contact the Intern Housing Team for assistance.
    • If you have a group, you will only see rooms that can fit your group
  7. Once you are ready, select the room and add it to your cart. (If you have suite mates this will put them in the same suite)
  8. After the room has been added to your cart, proceed to Check Out to complete your selection.
  9. Once checkout is complete, your room selection has been submitted.

Please note that room selections may be changed by the Intern Housing Team if needed due to housing needs, availability, maintenance issues, or other operational reasons.

If you are selecting a private suite, you will only see private suite options with no roommates currently assigned to them.

When selecting a room, please make sure you fully complete the checkout process. A room is not guaranteed just because it has been added to your cart. Your selection is only submitted once you have fully checked out.
