Students must go through the room selection process every year to remain on campus, which usually occurs in April, after students have completed their housing contract and deposit on time by the end of March. Please look to further information once the process nears.
Staying on Campus in 3 Easy Steps!
Step 1: Complete the housing contract on the Online Housing Portal along with preferences.
Step 2: The online housing contract is accompanied by a payment screen for a $200 deposit. Deposits can be paid by credit/debit card (with a credit card logo). Visa, Master Card and Discover are the accepted forms of credit card. The $200 deposit is non-refundable for those who will remain UMass Lowell students. If you are transferring or withdrawing from the University the deposit will be refunded to you with 2-4 weeks of your cancellation or applied to an outstanding balance.
Step 3: You will be assigned a lottery time slot the first week in April. You can use this lottery number for the process of your choice below:
- Go through General Room Selection and Living Learning Community Selection.
- Pull-in Roommate(s) into the room selected during general room selection and Living Learning Community selection. Please note that if you are going through the Living Learning Community selection process the roommates you are pulling in MUST also be accepted into the same community.
