UMass Lowell Rises to Top Research Classification
UMass Lowell is now listed as a Carnegie Research 1 (R1) university, a designation used to identify the nation's top research institutions based on their research activity. This is something only 7% of four-year universities in the United States can say about their commitment to research.Meet the New Dean of the Francis College of Engineering
We're excited to welcome Susan Roberts to UMass Lowell as our new dean of the Francis College of Engineering! With UMass Lowell's recent Carnegie Research 1 (R1) designation and the launch of the Lowell Innovation Network Corridor (LINC), she sees many opportunities to elevate the college's reputation, strengthen it's community and expand opportunities for students, faculty and alumni.
Merit-Based Scholarships
Your students may be eligible for merit-based scholarships. Awards range from $5,000 to $20,000 and are renewable for four years (eight semesters). Your students are automatically considered for the scholarships they are eligible for—no special application is necessary.
