Asian American Studies Minor
The Asian American Studies minor provides an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the historical and contemporary experiences of people of Asian heritage in the United States. Drawing from disciplines such as history, literature, sociology, and others, the minor complements a wide range of majors at the university through its emphases on critical thinking, global perspectives, and social justice. The Asian American Studies minor offers students intellectual frameworks and tools to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize issues relevant to Asian America and beyond. Graduates of this program will walk away with critical thinking skills and an understanding of multiple points of view. These skills will be in high demand for any job.
A minor in Asian American Studies consists of 18 credits.
