Step 2: Develop Objective and Activities

To come up with several sets of activities, with each set of activities resulting in a full or partial resolution of the main health/safety issue/concern that was identified in Step 1. 


  1. Choose a major objective for addressing or resolving the issue identified in Step 1.
  2. Identify three or more solutions that will help you meet your objective.
  3. Brainstorm the specific activities of each solution. 

A ideal workplace group activity (docx) can be used with non-managerial employees to increase knowledge of current health, safety, and well-being concerns and to identify possible intervention efforts to help move the workplace toward that ideal state.

Intervention activities should address multiple levels of the work system to achieve an integrated health, safety, and wellness intervention. Use this multi-level framework guide as a checklist (pdf) for evaluating intervention integration.
