All parking lots at UMass Lowell require a current decal on every vehicle or virtual permit tied to your license plate when parked before 3:30 p.m. Vehicles without a current decal or virtual permit are subject to be ticketed.

Most lots, with the exception of residential lots, open at 3:30 p.m. Students are welcome to park in any lot after this time, but may not park in designated parking (i.e. Service Vehicles, Designated Parking, Cabinet Member, Department Chair, etc), and must park in legally marked spaces. DO NOT attempt to park in a lot if you do not have the privileges listed below. Even if the gate is open before 3:30 p.m. you will be subject to be ticketed.

Parking Locations for Faculty/Staff/Emeritus/Retired


Cabinet Member Parking

Employees with a Cabinet Member decal may park in any lot designated for staff in addition to their numbered space located in Cumnock, Solomont Way, or lot of their choosing.


Designated and Preferred Parking

Employees with a Designated / Preferred Parking decal may park in any lot designated for staff in addition to their approved numbered space or lot in Cumnock, East Courtyard, or Tremont Lot.

*Chairpersons are permitted to park in any faculty space as well as spaces marked "Department Chair." Chairpersons may not park in Cabinet or Designated Parking spaces.

**Overnight parking is not permitted in any lot that is not residential; parking not permitted at Tsongas Center during events.

***There are also 3 signed parking spaces in the Riverview Suites Surface Lot. The rest of the unsigned spaces in the  Riverview Suites Surface Lot are reserved for Resident South decals.

Emeritus Faculty

Emeritus Faculty may order an "Emeritus Faculty/Retired Staff" decal at the non-benefited staff rate and park in any lot allowed by Staff and Adjunct Faculty.

Emeritus Faculty may also opt to order an "Emeritus Faculty" decal at the benefited faculty rate and park in any lot allowed by Faculty if approved by the Provost.


Retired Staff

Retired Staff may order an "Emeritus Faculty/Retired Staff" decal at the non-benefited staff rate and park in any lot allowed by Staff and Adjunct Faculty.
