Metered parking options are available to provide short term parking options to members of the UMass Lowell community, guests and the public. Please note note that payment is required, regardless of decal, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday-Friday.

ParkMobile:

It's time to skip the pay station line! UMass Lowell is pleased to offer the ParkMobile app as a pay-by-phone solution for access to our metered parking spaces. While utilizing the app you can pay for available parking spaces in any of our four metered lots.

Don't have ParkMobile yet? You can visit the ParkMobile website, download the mobile app or call the toll-free number (877-727-5717) to get started. You will need your license plate number, the zone number located on the signs in the parking lot, and a method of payment. Please note there is a 15¢ transaction fee, however the base rates are the same as the pay station.

Pay Station Options:

Our pay stations accept credit cards, $1 bills and coin. There is a $1 minimum when using credit cards, only bills and coins are accepted for the $0.75 rates.

South Campus: Wilder Metered Lot (Zone #20153), Riverview Suites Lot (Zone #20154), and Lower Mahoney Lot (Zone #20155)

Parking-Meter

The Wilder Visitor lot is located on South Campus on Wilder Street and is entered via Bachelder Street.  This location serves the eastern half of south campus destinations (Wilder Street and South Quad).

The Lower Mahoney Lot is located on Broadway Street between the South Garage and Mahoney Hall and serves as a convenient location the western half of south campus destinations (Broadway Street and South Quad). This lot is a mobile payment lot only and the ParkMobile app is required.

The Riverview Suites Lot, located at 1291 Middlesex Street, has seven spaces available outside of the gate for visitors.  This lot is a mobile payment lot only and the ParkMobile app is required.

All metered lots on South Campus are enforced weekdays from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Parking in the lots is free weekdays from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., weekends and holidays.


East Campus: Pawtucket Street Metered Lot (Zone #20152) and 817 Merrimack Street Lot (Zone #20156)

The 817 Merrimack Street Lot is the University's first full-day hourly parking lot that provides convenient access to University Crossing, East Campus, and North Campus. With 30 spaces located between the 817 Merrimack Street building and Moody Street (not to be confused with the gated 839 Merrimack/GPS Lot), all members of the university community may use this lot for up to 12 hours for an $8.00 per day maximum.

The Pawtucket Metered Lot is a 52 parking space lot that services the River Hawk Shop, Crossroads Cafe, as well as the many departments for University Crossing. The Pawtucket Metered Lot is located across from University Crossing, 220 Pawtucket Street, map directions here. The addition of the metered lot allows for much needed short term parking at University Crossing for the public and University community members. In addition, the lot is home to UMass Lowell’s first, and publicly accessible, electric vehicle charging station.

With the opening of the Pawtucket Metered Lot the Salem Visitor Lot will only be used for visitors with reservations on weekdays between the hours of 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Students with valid decals will have access to the Salem Lot and Fletcher lot from 5:00 p.m. to the close of University Crossing.

Parking in the East Campus metered lots is enforced weekdays from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Parking in the lots is free weekdays from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., weekends and holidays.

North Campus: Standish Metered Lot (Zone #20151) and Cumnock Metered Lot (Zone #20150)

The Standish Metered Lot is located behind the Pulichino Tong Business Center on Standish Street. The addition of the metered lot allows for short-term parking in Innovation District of North Campus. In addition, the lot is home to two Electric Vehicle (EV) charging spaces.

Cumnock Lot is located at 1 University Avenue between Cumnock Hall and Shah/Southwick Halls and serves as a central location for all north campus destinations. Note that this lot is a mobile payment lot only and the ParkMobile app is required.

Parking in the Standish and Cumnock Metered Lots is enforced weekdays from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and there is a 2 hour per day limit. Parking in the lot is free weekdays from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., weekends and holidays.

Guest Codes

Guest%20CodesOn South Campus and North Campus where there is not a reserved visitor parking lot such as the Salem Lot at University Crossing, faculty and staff may request guest codes for their approved visitors. These guest codes are entered in the parking kiosk upon their arrival and waive the fees for their stay.

To request a Guest Code, please e-mail UCAPS@uml.edu with the following information:
  • Event description (if applicable)
  • Guest name(s) or number of guests
  • Date of Arrival
  • Arrival Time
  • Departure Time

In return, you will receive a code that should be shared with the guests that can be entered on the day of their visit. Please note that this code will only be valid on the day of their visit, on the campus they are arriving to, and only for the number of guests registered (e.g. if you requested three guest codes and a forth is entered, it will be rejected).
