Day Service Lines

  • A blue circle with a white letter B in the middle.
    Blue Line
    • The Blue Line connects North Campus to South Campus, making a stop at Broadway/Riverview after South Campus
    • Buses typically depart from North Campus and South Campus about every 10 to 15 minutes.
  • An orange circle with a white "O" and "C" in the middle.
    Orange Connector
    • Between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m., the Orange Connector shuttles between 1 Merrimack Plaza and University Suites. 
    • For service to North Campus or the Lowell Train Station/Kennedy Center, transfer to LRTA #20 at University Suites.
    • For service to South Campus, take the Red Line from the East Campus bus stop.
    • Orange Connector shuttles typically depart about every 10 minutes.

    Red Line
    • The Red Line connects East Campus at the Campus Recreation Center (CRC) Circle to South Campus with a stop at Meehan Student Center in both directions. 
    • Buses typically depart from East Campus and South Campus about every 10 to 15 minutes.

    Orange Line / Lowell Regional Transit Authority Route #20
     
    Between 7:15 a.m. and 11 a.m., the Orange Line is operated by the Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) as Route #20
    • Route #20 connects University Suites, North Campus, and Meehan Student Center before continuing to the Lowell Train Station/Kennedy Center
    • Route #20 buses run at a frequency of every 30 minutes, with a set schedule. The full schedule can be found at the LRTA's website.
    • After 11 a.m., the Orange Line is operated by UMass Lowell.
    • The Orange Line directly connects 1 Merrimack Plaza and East Campus at the University Suites bus stop to North Campus and Meehan Student Center.
    • After 11 a.m., Orange Line shuttles typically depart about every 12 to 15 minutes.

  • North Campus: Near Riverside Parking Lot and Costello Gym
  • South Campus: Wilder Street in front of O'Leary Library
  • East Campus: Campus Recreation Center (CRC) circle
  • Meehan Student Center: Bus loop on Salem Street, near building B
  • University Suites: On Aiken Street in front of University Suites
  • Broadway/Riverview: Broadway Street bus loop near Riverview Suites
  • 1 Merrimack Plaza: Main entrance drop off loop

Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) Route #20 Stops: 7:15 a.m. - 11 a.m.

  • Tsongas Center: On Hall Street near the Cox Circle
  • Dutton and Market Street: Corner of Dutton Street and Market Street
  • Dutton and Broadway Street: Corner of Dutton Street and Broadway Street
  • Lowell Train Station/Kennedy Center: Bus station located at the Lowell Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Commuter Rail Station

Note: Please use the Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) to get to the Gallagher Train Station and the Downtown shuttle stop during Day Service. Please refer to the LRTA's website for the latest schedule information and hours of operation. UMass Lowell community members are able to ride the LRTA at no charge by using a valid UCARD.
