Biosketch

Karina is a proud double River Hawk, currently pursuing her Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Education Administration. She earned her bachelor's degree in English Literature from UMass Lowell in 2024, where she also received the River Hawk Experience Distinction in Leadership. During her undergraduate studies, Karina served as a UKG Peer and Team Leader for the River Hawk Scholars Academy and was Vice President of the Tri-Alpha Honor Society. In recognition of her commitment to first-generation students, she was honored as the inaugural student recipient of the Latinx Excellence Award in 2024. Passionate about student support and retention, Karina partnered with the Centers for Learning, Advising, and Student Success during her graduate practicum, contributing to academic alert systems and re-enrollment initiatives.
