The Radio-Frequency (RF) Safety Program is managed by the Radiation Safety Office; a subset of the Office of Environmental and Emergency Management (EEM). We are here to ensure that RF use on campus be conducted in a safe manner while regulatory compliance is followed. This section of the website regarding RF sources, covers topics to assist any current, or future, users setting up or maintaining a RF lab installation on campus.

- RF Safety Training:
- Training module: this module is required for all users of the RF emitter as well as anyone in the lab in which it resides. This training will take you through the basics of RF safety and benchmark your progress with an interactive quiz. The passing quiz results are automatically emailed to Radiation_Safety@uml.edu upon completion.
- The Radiation Safety Office requires that your Principal Investigator (or designee) conduct a site specific training regarding all hazards of your facility.
- Responsible persons contact (name, email, and phone)
- Emitter location (building, room, location in room) with maps if available
- Emitter specifics (RF use, frequency, max power or max operating power, emitter manual if available)
