The LGBTQ+ Resource Center works to create an inclusive campus environment for all members of the LGBTQ+ community at UMass Lowell.

What is the LGBTQ+ Center?

The Center promotes the university's commitment to diversity and creating a safe and healthy campus environment through education, support, advocacy, and the fostering of equity for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity and expression. Its services include:

  • Providing information and resources to support the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and other (LGBTQ+) communities on campus
  • Facilitating greater visibility, awareness, and understanding for LGBTQ+ issues
  • Offering students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to learn more about this community as a whole
  • Training aspiring allies to stand with, and advocate for, LGBTQ+ people
