Subject Matter Experts

Reach out to CCRE if you are seeking to collaborate with us or for help finding the expertise you are looking for at UMass Lowell. Even if you are not sure what you are looking for, we are happy to meet with you to brainstorm. If you are looking for student interns only, go here (link to TIEhub).

Program Evaluation

We offer professional program evaluation services grounded in a collaborative, partnership-based approach. We work closely with clients to select meaningful measures and design methods that effectively document processes and demonstrate impact.

Our evaluations combine quantitative data with qualitative insights—such as participants' own words—to provide context and deepen understanding. Numbers alone don’t tell the full story.

From the earliest stages—writing grants and drafting evaluation designs—to developing measurable goals, logic models, and data collection tools, we’re with you every step of the way. We also help identify opportunities to strengthen your program’s outcomes and prepare reports tailored to your needs and those of your funders.

Community Conversations, Meeting or Focus Group Facilitation

Sometimes group dialogue benefits from an outside facilitator—whether it’s an informal conversation or a formal focus group. We can help you determine the best approach, facilitate or co-facilitate the session, and provide either themed notes or formal data analysis, depending on your goals.

Planning Facilitation

The thought of strategic planning often brings out moans and groans. Participants do and do not want to be engaged in it for a host of reasons. We design the process with you and your participants in mind by first finding out what has and has not worked in the past, doing our homework to set the stage, incorporating participatory and appreciative methods, and leaving you with the tools to follow through.

Student Interns

The Center for Community Research & Engagement brings its years of experience and relationships working with community partners to the Steering Committee of the Transformative Internship and Engagement hub (TIEhub). Community, government, and educational organizations partnering with TIE Hub are connected with a talented and diverse group of students, faculty, and staff committed to advancing shared goals through meaningful, reciprocal collaboration.

Events

We also host events to network with faculty, staff, and students.
