The Center for Community Research & Engagement offers services to faculty and staff similar to those to organizations  – meeting facilitation and program evaluation.   Additionally, we can assist with:
  • Community Connections. We can help you find the community connections you are seeking whether it be to incorporate community field work or service learning into your course, identify an appropriate practicum placement for students, or solidify a community-based research partner we are happy to assist you with clarifying your ask and make some introductions. Over the last 30 years, we have gotten to know so many wonderful people and organizations in Massachusetts.
  • Working with Communities Consultation and Training. If you are new to community-based research and collaboration, please consider reaching out to us. In our role as boundary spanners, we have seen the disconnects between academia and community organizations due to differences in culture, communication styles, and expectations. We can provide training and consultation on how to collaborate effectively with community-based organizations. Support can help build trust, foster equitable partnerships, navigate ethical considerations, and develop the skills needed for shared decision-making and sustainable, community-centered outcomes.
  • We also facilitate communities of practice and events to meet communities collaborators.
