Cherry Lim is the program director for the Asian American Center for Excellence & Engagement. In this role, she oversees the implementation of UML’s Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Grant, which includes curriculum development, cultural competency training, community engagement, and a holistic student support model for Asian American students. She collaborates across the university to raise awareness of the unique needs and promote the success of Asian American students.

Cherry is the proud daughter of Chinese Cambodian refugees and is a first-generation college graduate. As a result, she is passionate about creating a sense of belonging and support for all marginalized students to thrive. Prior to coming to UMass Lowell, she served in various academic advising and student affairs roles at Bunker Hill Community College and Middlesex Community College (also AANAPISI grantees).
