A Research and Innovation Center to Advance Total Worker Health® Practice
Since 2006, CPH-NEW has studied how the Total Worker Health (TWH) approach can be implemented across several industries. This work led to the development of the Healthy Workplace Participatory Program (HWPP) and practical toolkits and education that help organizations make meaningful and lasting workplace improvements.
The TWH approach is a holistic framework for advancing employee health, safety, and well-being by integrating protection from work-related hazards with policies, programs, and practices that support worker health, safety, and well-being. By addressing workplace conditions alongside individual health, organizations can create environments that support a healthier and more productive workforce.
Organizations that adopt TWH concepts often see:
- a decrease in sick time,
- improved productivity and
- increased retention.
