*UMass Lowell Visit Award

UMass Lowell’s $1,000 Visit Award is a one-time award provided to eligible students who attend Open House. Each student may receive only one Visit Award toward their UMass Lowell tuition and fees. This award will cover $500 in the fall 2026 semester and $500 in the spring 2027 semester. To ensure a smooth award process, applicant’s email address and name should match the name and email address they used when registering for Open House. In the case of a discrepancy, students will be asked to provide proof of attendance.

How to Qualify

The Visit Award will be provided to first-year and transfer students who:

  1. Attend a Fall Open House on October 25 or November 15, 2025, or Transfer Open House on April 30, 2026. Attendees must check in with a UMass Lowell admissions representative upon arrival at Open House.
  2. Enroll in a full-time (12 credits minimum), on-campus degree program beginning in fall 2026.

Students who qualify for any programs covering the full cost of tuition and fees will not be eligible to receive the Visit Award. Graduate, Online and Professional Studies (GPS) transfers and students pursuing a second degree or post-baccalaureate certificate do not qualify. This award is not deferrable to a future semester.

**About the Fee Waiver

Fee Waiver: Attending an Open House will qualify you for an application fee waiver, which can be used on a future undergraduate application. The application fee waiver will be sent to the personal email address used when registering for an Open House. You should receive this waiver in your email confirmation. The waiver must be used at the time you apply for admission, prior to submitting your completed application, using any of our application methods. Please note, we are unable to apply refunds or credits for this waiver. The waiver is valid for admission in spring and fall. If you do not receive the waiver please contact us by email at: admissions@uml.edu.
