4. The Science of Happiness (Day 1 of 2)

This is a two-day course. Participants are required to attend both sessions (September 13th & September 27th).

Day 1: The course starts with the idea that happiness and health are fundamentally about strong social connections and being immersed in a strong social community. We’re going to zero in on things that build strong social ties and communities — things like compassion, empathy, how to read people’s emotions, gratitude, charity, generosity and giving.

The course emphasizes two main (scientifically-proven) keys to happiness: Strong social ties, and a sense of purpose or connection to the greater good. (From Science-Happiness-UC Berkeley)

A woman's guide to financially ever after. Financial knowledge for women nearing retirement, retirement strategies that work, steps to getting finances on track to help reach ideal retirement in 10 to 15 years, the unique characteristics of retirement plans from 403(b)s to IRAs to annuities.

7. Self-Care & Dealing with Holiday Stress

In this workshop, participants will learn to identify factors that contribute to holiday stress; determine coping strategies that promote well-being throughout the season; practice techniques for keeping expectations realistic; make a self-care plan and learn relaxation techniques.

Managing Change Workshop

To lead effectively during times of change requires knowledge and skill. Knowledge includes understanding what happens to people, including yourself, during times of change as well as knowing and applying best practices to help team members adjust, adapt and eventually accept the change. This workshop will address these key points.

Managing Stress Workshop

Preserving Your Savings for Future Generations Workshop

Estate planning. At the conclusion of this workshop, employees will have a better understanding of: what is a taxable estate and how can assets be distributed; estate planning components, wills vs. probates, and what is a power of attorney; the importance of a living will and healthcare proxy, and establishing a trust and different forms of trusts; the importance of beneficiary designations, and gifting and insurance replacement strategies.  Facilitated by: Fidelity Investments
