Academic Year 2026-2027
Starting fall 2026, Faculty Senate created a Career-Connected Experience Committee (CCEC) to support the Chancellor’s Guarantee for undergraduates to have the opportunity to pursue at least one career-connected experience (for pay, credit, or both before graduation). The Committee’s charge will be to approve new and revised courses as well as CCEC experiences (non-courses) using our existing governance infrastructure in Curriculog.
The CCEC Committee will gather and refine definitions of career preparation and career development work developed by programs and colleges. The CCEC Committee will also consider methods of assessment, facilitation of exceptions for coursework, and establishing definitions of CCEC opportunities across campus, and other process related questions to help students fulfill the Chancellor’s initiative. After a year in review of the committee’s work, the goal will be to update Senate by-laws to make CCEC a standing committee, akin to the Core Curriculum Committee.
The CCEC will be comprised of the following members:
- 1 Senator from Manning School of Business
- 1 Senator from Francis College of Engineering
- 1 Senator from College of Fine Arts Humanities and Social Sciences
- 1 Senator from Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences
- 1 Senator from Kennedy College of Sciences
Additionally, the Committee will consist of members of the administration.
Meeting Schedule:
All Career-Connected Experience Committee meetings will take place at Meehan Student Center, unless noted otherwise below.
- dates to be determined
Items to be placed on the agenda must be submitted via Curriculog and must reach the CCE Committee Step of the approval workflow by noon Monday the week before the meeting.
