The Facilities Management Department supports the university community by collaboratively creating and maintaining a high-level, living, learning and research environment that is sustainable, safe and healthy.

UMass Lowell’s Facilities Management is dedicated to maintaining a safe, functional and welcoming campus environment across 74 buildings and 150 acres.

The department oversees the full lifecycle of the university’s physical infrastructure — from planning and construction to operations, maintenance and renewal.

Staffed by licensed professionals with deep expertise in planning, design, construction and technical services, our team delivers capital projects, sustainability initiatives, and facility operations that support the evolving needs of students, faculty and staff — now and into the future.
