Biosketch

Gary T. Nolan, C.P.M., MCPPO, brings more than 25 years of experience in procurement and business operations within higher education and public-sector environments. As the Director of Facilities Procurement, he provides leadership in sourcing, contracting, compliance, and operational strategy in support of capital projects, facilities, academic and auxiliary services across the university. Gary’s work emphasizes fiscal stewardship, risk management, data-driven decision-making and strong collaboration with campus stakeholders.

Previously, Gary served as Director of Procurement Services for the university, where he led a procurement organization responsible for purchasing, contracts, accounts payable, asset management and procure-to-pay systems. In that role, he oversaw enterprise-wide competitive bidding and contract negotiations, ensured compliance with institutional, state, and federal requirements, and partnered closely with academic and administrative units to deliver cost-effective, high-quality services. 

He was recognized nationally with three consecutive Achievement of Excellence in Procurement® Awards. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley University and maintains lifetime certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) and is a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO).
