The Climate Change Initiative (CCI) includes more than 60 faculty members and 10 staff from 20 different academic departments and all five colleges at UMass Lowell. Student leaders also participate in CCI events, retreats, and decision-making. We use a systems thinking framework to explore interactions between expertise and forge new programs, projects, and policy.

    State Officials Check in With Falcons Hatched at UMass Lowell

    Five peregrine falcon chicks hatched at UMass Lowell in May were deemed healthy and thriving by Massachusetts wildlife officials who visited campus last week. The biologists checked in on the birds in their nest box atop the university’s Fox Hall to fit them with ID bands that enroll them in monitoring and protection programs.
