Mitigation climate change is central to our mission. But pro-active adaptation is necessary to reduce the damage caused by impacts that cannot be mitigated. Our research on extreme climate events, saltwater intrusion into freshwater supplies, and economic and policy implications of a changing climate supports efforts to adapt to a changed climate.
