Maribel Ortiz is learning leadership skills in the DNP program that are helping her evaluate the quality of treatments, analyze processes and find ways to provide equal care for all populations.
Nelly Padua sees first hand the issues families in underserved areas face. With more than 10 years experience as a nurse practitioner, she has ideas for how to solve these problems and decided to pursue a DNP degree to turn these ideas into action.
Carly Tiches's desire to help and care for others began when she started coaching children in gymnastics. She realized that she enjoyed giving first aid and caring for injuries. Now she is turning that passion into a career.
UML prepared Lianna Partee for a career that she’s passionate about. After completing her nursing degree here and working as a registered nurse for a year, she returned to earn a master’s degree in gerontological nursing.
