Research Interests

Clinical Chemistry, Analytical Biochemistry

Individual and combined influences of genetic, nutritional and environmental factors on cellular oxidative stress, cognitive decline and development of Alzheimer's disease. Biochemical Assessment of methionine cycle perturbations and consequences on cellular methylation status. Development of analytical methodology utilizing HPLC with diode array and fluorescent detection for quantitation of important biological thiols such as homocysteine and glutathione.
