UMass Lowell offers graduate and undergraduate degree programs in several fields of engineering:
All Engineering undergraduate programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. New programs in Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Engineering will be up for accreditation upon graduation of the first class of students. Engineering Technology bachelor's degree programs are accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.
Graduate programs exist in Energy Engineering, as well as Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology.
The Francis College of Engineering has a distinguished reputation for hands-on, practice-oriented education, cutting-edge research and integrating service and research into education at all levels. The College has strong ties to local industry, with many companies and government agencies in the region offering co-op positions and internships to students in all disciplines of engineering.
UMass Lowell offers a Graduate Certificate in Professional Leadership for science, engineering and technology professionals.
