Engineering Technology Programs

UMass Lowell is the only public university in Massachusetts to offer part-time Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering Technology (ET).  Offered by the Francis College of Engineering in collaboration with the university’s Division of Graduate, Online and Professional Studies, ET programs are designed to provide students with knowledge and understanding of the latest technologies and industry trends, while further developing their communication and problem-solving skills to become impactful Engineers and Technologists.

The university’s Engineering Technology Department meets regularly with its Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) to ensure curriculum alignment with industry trends, technology advancements, and industry practice. Graduates of the program are well prepared to handle the latest issues affecting industry and technology.

Accreditation

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) of ABET under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Engineering Technology.

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) is accredited by the  Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission (ETAC) of ABET  under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Engineering Technology.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO) and Learning Outcomes (LO) are common to EET and MET programs.
