The ADVANCE Office for Faculty Equity & Resilience sponsors initiatives designed to promote an academic environment where all faculty can thrive. To do so, we pay attention to equity issues at multiple levels of analysis.

The mission of the ADVANCE Office for Faculty Equity & Resilience (OFER) is to promote an equitable, inclusive and empowering environment in which all faculty receive support, resources and opportunities in order to thrive at UMass Lowell (UML).

The ADVANCE Office for Faculty Equity & Resilience builds upon the successes of the UMass Lowell Center for Women & Work (CWW)’s Making WAVES initiative, as well as new efforts identified by the University-wide Sexual Harassment Task Force and the Social Justice and Inclusion Task Forces.
