The ADVANCE Office for Faculty Equity & Resilience at UMass Lowell collects data that is relevant to the office mission to promote an equitable, inclusive, and empowering work environment for all faculty. Three main types of data are gathered to track progress on ADVANCE goals and to inform future priorities: 

  1. Demographics: Summaries of the demographic makeup of the UMass Lowell workforce,
  2. Faculty Work Climate: Summaries of a biannual survey about faculty’s workplace experiences and how these experiences may differ by gender, race/ethnicity, rank, and discipline, and
  3. Evaluations: Summaries of progress on various ADVANCE-related initiatives.
