Biosketch

Aytan is a doctoral candidate at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, pursuing her doctorate in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on sustainability, clean energy systems, and life cycle assessment (LCA) of clean energy infrastructure. She works on renewable energy research and community-focused sustainability initiatives across academic, industrial, and international settings, building her background in energy systems, data analysis, and sustainable development. As a CELT Municipal Fellow, she will be working with the Town of Acton, Massachusetts, to support its clean energy, sustainability, and community engagement goals. Aytan earned her Bachelor of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering in Azerbaijan. Outside of work, she enjoys coloring, running, playing badminton, watching science fiction movies, and exploring new places. She is also passionate about quantum physics and history.
