Important Student Updates

Registration with Disability Services

Students who have completed and submitted the Public Accommodation Request Online form, and have their documentation approved, will receive an email with instructions on how to book an appointment. If approved, you may login in to Accommodate to schedule an Intake Appointment.

  • Spring 2026 Semester: Registration for Spring 2026 Semester will close on April 24, 2026.
  • Summer 2026 Semester: Registration opens on May 4, 2026.

Accommodations Requests

Students who are fully registered with Disability Services are able to submit their accommodations request as follows:

  • Spring 2026 Semester: The last day to submit Accommodations Requests for Spring 2026 Finals is April 24, 2026.
  • Summer 2026 Semester: Summer classes start on May 18, 2026. Semester Request for Summer will open on May 11, 2026.

Disability Service (DS) Peer Coaches

Our experienced DS Peer Coaches, who are registered with our office, are here to provide the support you need for a successful semester. They can assist on issues like:

  • Build stronger academic, organizational and time management skills
  • Discuss past challenges and plan for future success
  • Connect with other valuable resources at UMass Lowell (UML).
  • Open Hour Team Meeting to assist with Accommodate / technical issues or Peer Coaching. Join us on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact us for Teams Meeting link by email: DS_Peer_Coach@uml.edu.

If you are interested to book a session with a DS Peer Coach, please complete the DS Peer Coach Form, and we will connect you with a coach via email before the semester starts. Meetings can be scheduled weekly or bi-weekly, virtually or in-person.

Report Non-Urgent Physical Access Concern

Students, submit a physical accessibility service request to the Disability Office. For urgent requests (i.e., elevator broken, push button issue, weather related, etc.) call Facilities at 978-934-2601.
