As Interim Department Chair of Biomedical and Nutritional Sciences in the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences, I am honored to introduce prospective students to some of the most relevant, dynamic and exciting disciplines in the health-related sciences.

This an exciting time in the department as we grow and strengthen our existing programs and begin to explore new programs to enhance our mission.  We want you to be part of this excitement.

Our accredited nutritional sciences program – ranked “Best in the Northeast” –trains a workforce that meets a critical need in addressing the epidemic of obesity and chronic disease.

State-of-the-Art Labs and Equipment

Our facilities include well-equipped laboratories and specialized equipment for both instruction and research. Students in our research labs gain hands-on experience in biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences, with access to state-of-the-art analytics in chemistry, microbiology and molecular biology. Our programs include outreach to local communities and businesses, and outstanding practicum/clinical opportunities in medical lab sciences and nutrition.
