New Graduate Student Orientation

The Graduate Student Services Office is excited to welcome you to UMass Lowell! To help you start your graduate studies, be sure to register for one of the New Graduate Student Orientation sessions.

In addition to these orientations, new doctoral students will receive an invitation from the School of Graduate Studies to attend a mandatory Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) session which will be held on Monday, August 24. New Teaching Assistants and Research Assistants will receive an invitation to attend a mandatory Teaching Assistant (TA) / Research Assistant (RA) Orientation scheduled for Tuesday, August 25.

While the New Graduate Student Orientation is not mandatory, all newly admitted students will learn about University polices and resources, which will be helpful throughout your academic career. Feel free to register for either the virtual or in-person orientation, whichever works best for you.
