Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! We are excited to announce the plans for the 2026 commencement ceremony on Friday, May 15, 2026. There will be a formal Commencement exercise, including speeches and the official conferral of degrees, streamed on our Commencement website and the UMass Lowell's Facebook page.

Master's Checklist:

  1. Apply for graduation.
  2. For spring 2026 graduating students, verify that your name and address is accurate for diploma distribution by using the Important Information About Your Diploma (pdf).
  3. For spring 2026 graduates, if completing a thesis please consult the Thesis / Dissertation Submission Check List and Overview, and submit it to the library by April 15, 2026.
  4. Pre-register with GradImages for your graduation ceremony photo on their website to get 20% off any orders over $50. Please note that there is no obligation to purchase.
  5. Reserve up to two additional guest tickets (if applicable) beginning April 27, 2026, and be sure to select your corresponding Master's ceremony.
  6. Send a message of thanks or congratulations to a graduate, professor, friend or family member to be displayed on the ribbon message circulating around the Tsongas Center during their Commencement ceremony. Submission is due by midnight on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
  7. Create your personalized commencement slideby Monday, May 11, 2026.
  8. If you and/or your guest(s) need special accommodations, including but not limited to wheelchair access, hearing assist, etc., please contact relevant parties to make arrangements.
  9. Didn't attend the Ready, Set, Graduate! event on Monday, April 13, 2026 to pick up your academic regalia (cap, gown, hood) and commencement name card? Here are your alternative pick-up options:
    1. Until May 14, 2026, at UMass Lowell Bookstore on 220 Pawtucket St., Lowell, during normal business hours.
    2. On Commencement Day, May 15, 2026 at the Tsongas Center:

    Stop by the Bookstore tent to purchase one.
