Biosketch

Jack is a native of Lowell, Mass. and was excited to join the BCL in April of 2016. Prior to joining the BCL he worked in industry as a research and development associate on the Qiagen GeneReader sequencing platform. The focus of his research was on emulsion PCR and emulsion droplet stoichiometry. He also spent time working as a DNA sequencing technician at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at the Center for Cancer Genome Discovery where he was responsible for manual and automated library preparation, library QC and Next Generation Sequencing. Additionally, Jack has experience with operating and troubleshooting liquid-handling robots. He has a Bachelor of Science in Plant biology from the University of New Hampshire, and a Master of Science in Genetics from the University of New Hampshire. Jack was a recipient for the UNH Teaching Assistant - Teaching Excellence Award in 2013 and his passion for teaching continues. Jack especially enjoys the diversity of client projects at the BCL.
