What is the Steering Committee?

The Steering Committee (SC) consists of senior and mid-level managers and other key personnel (including union leaders) who can marshal organizational resources for interventions. The Steering Committee is led by a program champion. They meet frequently during program start-up, then monthly or quarterly during the IDEAS intervention design process.

The Steering Committee oversees the program, works with the Design Team and selects interventions for implementation.

For the participatory program to be successful, Steering Committee members must be oriented to the Total Worker Health® concepts, and to the IDEAS intervention design process.

Steering Committee members can access additional resources in the Get Ready for Program Start-up page.
