The UMass Lowell New England Youth Wind Ensemble brings together 60 talented high school musicians from New England with college students from the UMass Lowell Department of Music.
The New England Youth Wind Ensemble is open to high school and home schooled students in grades 9 - 12. This type of honor's band /wind ensemble provides a unique opportunity for all students. If you have had the opportunity to perform in junior district, districts, or the like, this is for you! Each musician is challenged with significant responsibilities and the growth in each individual's musical skills and development is tremendous! Rehearsals are January through April, with an evening concert to conclude our journey.
