The College of Engineering at UMass Lowell is highly respected for applied research, focusing on real-world issues critical to the region and across the world.
The College has nearly 100 full-time faculty, many of whom have received prestigious honors in their fields including National Science Foundation CAREER awards. The College is the home to the National Science Foundation-funded Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing (in collaboration with Northeastern University and University of New Hampshire) and is also the home of the Massachusetts Center of Excellence in Nanomanufacturing.
