Melissa began her career at UMass Lowell at the Center for Community Research & Engagement as a Research Assistant. Upon completing her degree, she served as Program Evaluator, then Senior Evaluator, where her role was to facilitate partnerships between the university and community, manage programs, and provide research and evaluation expertise to community partners. She has also facilitated strategic planning workshops and taught graduate and undergraduate courses in psychology.
Melissa is currently the Program Director of Student Mental Health & Wellness in the Wellness Center as a part of Student Affairs . She is responsible for successfully developing, organizing, and providing leadership to a UMass Lowell community-wide prevention-based public health initiative to improve the mental health and well-being of students at the university.
