Still not sure what ChatGPT is all about, how this new artificial intelligence tool is changing higher education and whether it has any potential instructional value? Join CELT’s discussion as our faculty try to navigate how we can handle this new development in our classrooms and how to guide our students into using this tool effectively. The panelists will include Ann Dean, Natalie Houston, David Kazmer, Jonathan Silverman and Julie Zhang. The discussion will be moderated by Fred Martin. The talk will take place on Jan. 26, 2023 from 9:45-11:15 a.m. at the New Faculty Success Center (University Crossing 140). Directions below.

The Faculty Success Center is located at University Crossing, Building B, 257 Salem Street, Lowell, MA (first floor).

Directions:
Enter Building B at the UCAPS/Police entrance and FOLLOW THE STARS ON THE FLOOR, take a right past the elevators, follow the hallway past the 158 conference rooms to the back wall, take a right, Rooms 140/147 are on the right. There are signs and banners along the way to guide you.

Note: If you park in the Merrimack Lot, you can cross Merrimack Street, use the back (cement wall) entrance (card access), enter the first floor door (on left), go straight to the Faculty Success Center, Rooms 140/147.

  • Fletcher Lot (faculty/staff): 20 Whiting Street, Lowell, MA
  • Salem Street (faculty/staff with Cabinet and University Crossed Preferred permit): 294 Salem Street, Lowell, MA
  • Merrimack Lot (faculty/staff): 839 Merrimack Street, Lowell, MA
